Pumpkin Festival Weather Update
Saturday, May 25, 2013 The weather this morning in Goomeri is clear and fine. There is a clear sky and the sun is shining for a beautiful day. The same weather is forecast for festival day tomorrow.
On-line registrations have now closed.
Saturday, May 25, 2013 On line registrations for the Great Australian Pumpkin Roll, Pumpkin Pull and Pumpkin Power Shot Put have now closed. Manual registration is available at the festival on Sunday.

There are numerous food outlets to suit all tastes at the Goomeri Pumpkin Festival. Local businesses such as the Grand Hotel, the Pumpkin Pie café, the Lunch Box, Foodworks, BP Service Station and Mobil Service Station all have food available. The major Food Hall for the Festival is located in the SES shed in Dickinson Park, where the main festival stage is centred. Camp oven stew, an annual favourite, with billy tea and damper will be available in Dickinson Park again. Also, there are potato vans, hot chip vans, coffee vans, numerous street stalls which sell cakes, biscuits, scones etc. Pumpkin Foods Add to this some new items which include – pumpkin cup cakes (just divine!), pumpkin cheesecakes, pumpkin pies and the pumpkin sausages mentioned below, and we will have a great array for you to choose from. Look for the festival committee’s Pumpkin Foods outlet. Buy some pumpkin goodies to take home, or buy some to eat on the day. Specialties include Pumpkin Cup Cakes, Pumpkin Cheesecakes, Pumpkin Pies, Pumpkin Scones, Pumpkin Fruit Cakes, Pumpkin Biscuits etc. The RSL rooms, located beneath the Hall of Memory, will have light refreshments for sale. In the Lions Park there will be our novelty pumpkin sausages this year. Look out for this specialty barbeque sausage stall. Don’t forget to look for our Pumpkin Soup Van located beside the Food Hall in Dickinson Park. |

A GREAT DAY FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY!The Goomeri Pumpkin Festival is a great fun-filled family day out. Head out to Goomeri on the last Sunday in May and join in the fun. Entry to the festival is free and there is plenty of entertainment to suit all ages. Join the thousands of people who come along to enjoy the free entertainment, either on the main stage or roving in the streets. Win yourself some great prizes by entering into the many pumpkin competitions on the day. Most of these competitions have free entry. Become a pumpkin roller and have a go at the Great Australian Pumpkin Roll™. Send your pumpkin hurtling down Policeman's Hill to see how far it can go. Wander the streets and look at the many street stalls at your leisure, sit down in the local cafes and hotel and enjoy a meal or relax in the park with your family and friends to enjoy a picnic style lunch. A great variety of foods is available to suit all tastes and budgets. Sign the Festival Visitors' Book outside the Food Hall and be in the draw to win a fabulous prize. The fun starts at 8.00am.
