The following roads will be closed on Sunday 26th May 2013 for the purpose of conducting the Goomeri Pumpkin Festival: 1. Hodge Street – Full closure between the intersections of Moore Street and McGregor Street from 0600 hours until 1700 hours. 2. Labudda Street – Full closure between intersections of Munro Street and Tansey Street from 0600 hours to 1700 hours. 3. Memorial Place – Full closure between intersections of Moore Street and Boonara Street from 0600 hours to 1700 hours. 4. Shaw Street – Full closure between intersections of Boonara Street and Moore Street from 1300 hours to 1500 hours. 5. Moore Street – Full closure from southern side of the intersections with Boonara Street and intersection with Laird Street between 1300 hours and 1500 hours. 6. Boonara Street – Full closure between intersections with McGregor Street and Moore Street between 1015 hours and 1100 hours. 7. Moore Street – Full closure between intersections with Laird Street and Munro Street between 1015 hours and 1100 hours. |

A GREAT DAY FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY!The Goomeri Pumpkin Festival is a great fun-filled family day out. Head out to Goomeri on the last Sunday in May and join in the fun. Entry to the festival is free and there is plenty of entertainment to suit all ages. Join the thousands of people who come along to enjoy the free entertainment, either on the main stage or roving in the streets. Win yourself some great prizes by entering into the many pumpkin competitions on the day. Most of these competitions have free entry. Become a pumpkin roller and have a go at the Great Australian Pumpkin Roll™. Send your pumpkin hurtling down Policeman's Hill to see how far it can go. Wander the streets and look at the many street stalls at your leisure, sit down in the local cafes and hotel and enjoy a meal or relax in the park with your family and friends to enjoy a picnic style lunch. A great variety of foods is available to suit all tastes and budgets. Sign the Festival Visitors' Book outside the Food Hall and be in the draw to win a fabulous prize. The fun starts at 8.00am.
